The singer of “Satellite” – went on to say that he has never before disclosed his sexual orientation in public since “it ain’t nobodies’ business.”

Khalid is opening up about his sexuality

Khalid formally came out as homosexual on Friday, November 22, in a series of postings to his X. He merely included a rainbow flag emoji and asked his followers to get on to the “next topic please lol.” In response to a follow-up question from another user, Khalid wrote, “and that’s okay,” confirming that he identified as gay.

Khalid clarified his justification for the posts in a another tweet. He wrote, “I got outted [sic], and the world still turns.” “Let’s be clear: I don’t feel guilty about being gay! Actually, it’s nobody’s business! However, I’m fine with myself.

The revelation Khalid mentioned was based on a series of since-deleted tweets from recording artist and X user Hugo Almonte, according to Rolling Stone. Almonte posted a since-deleted picture of himself and Khalid after claiming that a “gay R&B singer” had earlier “tried to set me up and say that I broke into his house.”

Almonte said he wanted to “share how he tried to use his power to silence me because I simply ended our relationship” in a statement provided to the site. He also claimed that several people had threatened to kill him, accusing him of “chasing clout” with his claims. “After five years of holding onto this, I finally had enough.”

Khalid told a fan that they were 100% right when they pointed out that his song and music video for 2022’s “Satellite” were already a “LGBTQ anthem.” “Thank you very much! He said, “I was never hiding.”
